Gazzetta dello Sport expects five to six weeks out
Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Friday that the injury is a "lesione" — a muscle tear — at the back of Lautaro Martínez's left thigh. The paper expects a "stop previsto di 5-6 settimane": a layoff of five to six weeks. The club's own word was "strain," and Inter have published no timeline.
On that reading he misses the rest of October and much of November. The report says Chivu expects to see him again after the November international break.

The papers disagree over who starts beside Thuram
Yesterday the press expected rotation at Bologna. Lautaro Martínez's injury has changed the question to replacement.
Gazzetta dello Sport, relayed by FCInter1908, expects Francesco Pio Esposito, a center forward, to start beside Marcus Thuram, Inter's other center forward. Ange-Yoan Bonny waits. Sky Sport Italia's projected lineup puts Bonny there instead. Inter have published no lineup.
