Two goals down from the first leg, Inter Women beat Wolfsburg 3–1 after extra time tonight and won the shootout: the Champions League league phase, for the first time. The men's window shut on Tuesday with a sale, not a signing — Kamaté to Atlético Madrid — and the club filed its Champions League list this evening. The papers have Pio Esposito signed to 2032; Inter have still said nothing.

From two down to the Champions League: Inter Women go through on penalties
At the Stadio Breda in Sesto San Giovanni tonight, Inter Women overturned a 2–0 first-leg deficit against VfL Wolfsburg and reached the Women's Champions League league phase for the first time. Bartoli scored on 39 minutes and Polli on 84 to level the tie at 2–2 on aggregate; Wolfsburg went ahead again in extra time, and Milinković equalized in the final minute to make it 3–1 on the night and 3–3 overall. In the shootout Magull, Bugeja, Schough, Milinković and Andrés all scored for Inter, and Wolfsburg missed their fifth. The league-phase draw follows later this month.

The Champions League list is in: all eight summer signings named
Inter published their League Phase squad list this evening (7:37 PM in Milan, 1:37 PM ET), ahead of UEFA's deadline. Curtis Jones, Djed Spence, John Stones, Manuel Akanji, Andy Diouf, Petar Sučić, Luis Henrique and Ange-Yoan Bonny are all on List A. Pio Esposito and Aleksandar Stanković go on List B, the youth list, which means they are available without using a senior slot. The opener is Real Madrid away on Tuesday.

Kamaté sold to Atlético Madrid as the window shuts
Inter announced the permanent transfer of Issiaka Kamaté to Atlético Madrid in the closing minutes of the market, which shut on Tuesday at 8:00 PM in Milan, 2:00 PM ET. The French midfielder, born in 2004, came through the Inter youth system. His farewell, posted on the club channels: “It has been an immense honor to wear this shirt — saying thank you is not enough.” The club release records a permanent sale; the figures being quoted around it are press, and print on pink below.

Esposito signed — but the club has not said so
Matteo Barzaghi reported on Sky on Tuesday evening that Pio Esposito had just left Inter's headquarters having renewed to 2032, on a package Sky puts at around €3m a season including bonuses; Di Marzio had him arriving to sign, and Corriere dello Sport led with the same year this morning. The player, quoted by FCIN1908: “An important milestone, but I'm not satisfied — we keep working.” FCIN1908 adds that the club intends to announce it “in a special way” in the coming days.
Two cautions. The club has published nothing: the only Esposito renewal on Inter.it remains the one to 2030, dated April 2025, so this stays in pink until a release lands. And the press does not agree with itself — Goal, Passione Inter and Radio Sportiva all ran 2031 in the days before the signing, and Football Italia's earlier salary line was €2.5m rather than €3m.

The Kamaté numbers, none of them official
Sky's terms: €1.7m to Inter, a 30% sell-on, and a buy-back set at €8m, with the player going initially to Atlético Madrid B. FCInterNews reads the club's own release as retaining a recompra; the euro figures and the percentage appear nowhere in it, and neither club has published them.

Thuram and Spence: still short for Saturday
Barzaghi's line from Sunday — “Thuram is not at 100% and you can see it, it will take a little longer” — has had no update since, and no club bulletin behind it either way. Spence has been working apart and was always expected to wait for Napoli rather than Cagliari for his debut. Pio Esposito started alongside Lautaro in Sardinia and is the obvious answer if Thuram is held back again.

No fifth forward, and that is the window
The fifth striker Chivu and the board considered never came: Sky's deadline blog carried no Inter negotiation at any point on Tuesday, and the Chiesa link that surfaced overnight on Monday was knocked down by Romano before the offices opened. The squad that beat Cagliari is the squad until January.

10′ Hakan Çalhanoğlu
A right-footed strike from outside the area past Caprile, and that was the afternoon: Inter had the ball and the better chances without ever putting the game away, and Yann Bisseck's clearance late on was the decisive intervention. Çalhanoğlu has scored in both league games. Curtis Jones came on for his debut on 65 minutes; Alessandro Bastoni made his 300th appearance.
Inter.it times the goal at 10 minutes and credits no assist; Football Italia, Sofascore and FotMob give 9 minutes with an assist for Barella. The club's version is printed above, as always here.
