Chivu said Inter were slow, tired and lucky
Cristian Chivu, Inter's head coach, sent on Hakan Calhanoglu, Nicolò Barella and Manuel Akanji together at half-time, with the match goalless. He told Sky Sport Italia afterward: "Siamo stati fortunati oggi nel portarla a casa" — we were lucky today to bring it home.
He credited Ivan Provedel, Inter's goalkeeper: "Provedel ci ha tenuti in partita" — Provedel kept us in the match. Chivu said the squad has to find its energy again before Saturday.

Inter are watching Stuttgart's Finn Jeltsch
Calciomercato.com — Italy's transfer-news site — reports that Inter's scouts have watched Finn Jeltsch several times this season. The Stuttgart defender, who can play center-back or wing-back, would cost close to €40 million.
Sport, the Barcelona daily, says Barcelona are interested too. Inter play Stuttgart at San Siro in the Champions League on November 25.

Gazzetta says Dimarco's new contract is stuck
Gazzetta dello Sport, Italy's biggest sports daily, reports that talks over a new deal for Federico Dimarco, Inter's left wing-back, have not moved since September. His contract runs to 2027. The paper says Inter hold an option to extend it by a year.
It puts the salary discussed early on at about €7.5 million (Italian salaries are quoted after tax), and says that is hard for Inter to reach. Dimarco himself said: "Purtroppo non abbiamo ancora parlato di rinnovo" — unfortunately we still haven't talked about a renewal.
